BrandIndex surveyed consumers who eat breakfast out twice a day and found that 41 percent of people turn to McDonald’s for their meal.
The survey allowed participants to choose from all major chains that serve breakfast. Other chains that made the list include Subway, IHOP, Burger King, and Starbucks.
Breakfast sales were also notably up four percent from May 2015 to now. The only restaurants that serve breakfast items all day are IHOP and Starbucks.
BrandIndex also listed some restaurants whose popularity during the breakfast hours improved. Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, and Caribou Coffee saw an increase in breakfast sales since February 2015.
Considering that McDonald’s breakfast ends at 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and 11:00 a.m. on weekends, this means that the people who took this survey are early birds who wake up in time to snag an Egg McMuffin twice. That’s quite impressive.
