General Mills Brings French-Style Yogurt To The US With Oui By Yoplait
Yoplait makes yogurt in more than 40 flavors and numerous different styles, from whipped to kid-friendly Go-Gurt. Now, the brand has welcomed the newest addition to the family, Oui, and it's ready to take on Greek yogurt as the next go-to healthy snack.
Oui by Yoplait is a thick and creamy yogurt inspired by a traditional French recipe that was previously only available in France, according to the press release.
The recipe was inspired by Yoplait's "Saveur d'Autrefois" — which translates to English as "taste of yesteryear." The yogurt-making process involves pouring ingredients into each individual glass pot and allowing each one to culture for eight hours, as opposed to the typical process, which involves culturing ingredients in larger batches and pouring prepared product into each cup.
The yogurt will be available at grocery stores and retailers nationwide starting in July in 5-ounce jars for a suggested retail price of $1.49.
