A Fancy McDonald's In New York City Is Hosting A Summer Concert Series

New York City is filled with iconic music venues, and this summer, the McDonald's in Chelsea is joining in with a summer concert series of its own. The series will feature pianist Darius Frowner and a different singer for every show.

According to Food & Wine, the McDonald's is owned and operated by PJ Fonseca, who is also a musician. He has reportedly worked on local productions of Chicago and A Chorus Line and has performed with celebrities such as Joan Rivers and Whoopi Goldberg.

The McDonald's is located at 809 Sixth Avenue, and the performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. every Friday.

The concept is certainly out of the ordinary for your average fast-food restaurant; however, the location is considered one of the fast-food chain's "higher-end" locations, as Pix 11 reported at the time of the launch in February. The Sixth Avenue location includes a modern layout, servers who bring guests their orders, and a restaurant concierge.
