Eat At Places Serving Cuisine From Countries Affected By The Muslim Travel Ban

President Trump's executive order banning travelers from seven majority-Muslim countries has provoked an uproar across the country. One organization — Breaking Bread NYC — is helping New Yorkers become more involved in protesting the ban.

If you donate $10 to Breaking Bread, you will receive a list of restaurants across the five boroughs that are serving the cuisines of the countries that have been affected by the ban: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, and Somalia, according to Saveur. All proceeds will go to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which helps solidify relations and goodwill between the United States and American-Muslims.

Scott Wiener, founder of Scott's Pizza Tours and Slice Out Hunger, will also be leading tours organized through Breaking Bread of restaurants in Muslim communities throughout the city starting this Saturday. He said he hoped to expand the tours further with volunteer support.

"New Yorkers are such a loving and accepting people," Wiener told Saveur. "This is just a chance to get them to meet and support their neighbors at a time when they really need it."
