Dominique Ansel Reveals Adorable Valentine's Day Creations

The man who brought the Cronut to New York City is not one to shy away from a Valentine's Day dessert. An Instagram post of pastry chef Dominique Ansel's almond rose melonpan made to look like an emoji with heart eyes has gained over 2,500 likes since it was posted earlier today.

But those drooling for the taste of the sweet snack bread, there's a major catch — you have to go nearly 7,000 miles to get it. The pastry is only available at Dominique Ansel Bakery Japan.

Eater describes melonpan as a, "sweet, brioche-like bun that, prior to baking, is covered with a thin sheet of cookie-like dough." This cookie-like dough can take on any shape or form. The chefs at Dominique Ansel Japan have also created penguin-shaped marshmallows with heart eyes and their own life preservers.

Valentine's Day offerings for Dominique Ansel fans in NYC have yet to be revealed. In the meantime, Ansel has revealed a new Tuscan Raspberry Tart at Dominique Ansel Kitchen.
