Daniel Humm, Will Guidara to Open Fast-Casual Restaurant at World Trade Center Mall

Eleven Madison Park’s Daniel Humm is joining the upscale fast-casual craze at Westfield Mall in Lower Manhattan

The new restaurant will be joining Eataly, Épicerie Boulud, and Marc Forgione’s Lobster Press at Westfield.

About a year ago, Eleven Madison Park’s owners Daniel Humm and Will Guidara announced they would be venturing out into the world of fast-casual dining. Now, more details of the coming restaurant have emerged: The still-unnamed restaurant will be located inside Westfield Mall in a 7,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of the 3 World Trade Center tower.

“We are still a long way out from opening and have ways to go in terms of developing/refining, etc.,” Guidara told The New York Times, but he said they were “so excited” about the location.

"We could not be more thrilled to team up with Westfield in this historic and remarkable location,” Humm said in a statement. “Bringing our food and hospitality into the Oculus at World Trade Center—an incredibly important and iconic addition to our city—is extremely humbling, we're so excited to be a part of it!"

The restaurant will open sometime in 2018.
