Citymeals On Wheels Brings Back 'Sweet September'

Citymeals on Wheels is kicking off "Sweet September" in just a few weeks. It's a way to enjoy sweet treats around NYC guilt-free, though we're not talking about calories.

For the month of September, participating NYC restaurants and sweets shops will donate a portion of their sales of a designated dessert.

Epicerie Boulud will donate $1 for every ChocoPistache sold, 21 Club will donate $2 for each '21' Express (chocolate mousse, passion fruit coulis, pistachio cake) sold, and Jacques Torres Chocolate will donate 25 cents for every chocolate chip cookie sold.

A full listing of participating vendors and desserts can be found on the Sweet September event page.

All proceeds from this event "will help Citymeals prepare and deliver meals to the 18,000 homebound elderly New Yorkers we nourish," according to Citymeals. This particular initiative raised $32,000 for the organization last year.
