Carl's Jr. And Hardee's Are Selling A Burger That Tastes Like It's Topped With Moonshine

A burger flavored with moonshine is the fast food creation we've all been waiting for. Leave it to Carl's Jr. and Hardee's to come up with this boozy concoction, which, sadly is entirely non-alcoholic.

The sister fast food chains partnered with NASCAR driver Junior Johnson and Piedmont Distillers for the Midnight Moonshine burger: A 100 percent black Angus beef charcoal-grilled burger topped with a moonshine glaze. This impressive sandwich also comes with pepper jack cheese, garlic, bacon, and pepper fried onions.

"It knocked everybody's socks off when we tasted it," CKC Restaurants CEO Andy Puzder told CNBC. "You have to earn your way onto the menu."

According to Puzder, the moonshine burger also targets the palates of "young hungry guys."

The Midnight Moonshine burger will hit menus at Carl's Jr. and Hardee's starting March 23. It will cost $4.39 for a single burger, $5.59 for a double burger, and $5.59 for a one-third pound Thickburger.
