Bill Niman Joins Blue Apron With Acquisition of BN Ranch

BN Ranch says that it is committed to providing quality, responsibly raised beef, lamb, and poultry

Niman began raising animals to “high standards” as early as 1970.

This week, Blue Apron announced that rancher Bill Niman and his BN Ranch have joined the meal service kit’s team in the company’s latest acquisition. Niman will serve as the president and founder of BN Ranch under Blue Apron’s ownership to help the company dive further into higher animal welfare and husbandry standards.

“Bill is globally recognized as a pioneer in the sustainable meat industry, and we share the same philosophy that high animal welfare and food quality go hand-in-hand,” Matt Wadiak, co-founder and COO of Blue Apron, said in a statement. “By acquiring BN Ranch, and bringing Bill onto our team, we are furthering our vision to build a better food system by making high-quality, responsibly raised meat accessible to home chefs across the country.”

According to the company, grass-fed beef from BN Ranch has already made it to Blue Apron’s menu offerings.

The new addition to the company supports Blue Apron’s mission to “build a better food system,” which was debuted in the company’s campaign in collaboration with advertising agency Droga5.
