Last night, guests gathered at Samsung 837 in the Meatpacking district for the first installment of a new chef-driven series, 360 Meals at Samsung. The guest chef for the event was none other than Daniel Boulud, chef and owner of seven NYC restaurants, including Michelin-starred restaurant Daniel, Boulud's French flagship. Daniel is at the top of the list for The Daily Meal's 101 Best Restaurants in America 2016.

Using the Samsung Gear VR, guests were able to get a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the kitchen at Daniel and the inner workings of the restaurant, as well as chef Boulud's creative process.

After the short video, Boulud answered questions from the audience while guests enjoyed tastes of Boulud's Croque Monsieur with Black Truffle; Foie Gras and Chicken Mosaic; Long Island Fluke with Sea Urchin, Apple, and Celery; Maine Lobster 'en Gelée' with Cauliflower Mousseline; and White Asparagus from Provence with Herb Dressing and Toast.

The next culinary event for the 837 space is still in its planning phase, however 837 hosts a variety of programming which takes advantage of the available technology. These include live music, art installations, screenings, culinary events, and collaborations with key curators.

Previous chef events include a Texas-style BBQ cooking demo by James Beard award-nominated chef Dan Delaney at SXSW at 837, and Dan Frieber, founder of Tango Chile Sauce, showed guests how to make his famous hot sauce.
