Beer Lovers Can Soon Top Their Pancakes And Waffles With Beer Syrup

If you have ever wanted to pair your morning pancakes, French toast, or waffles with beer, this syrup will give you the means to do so.

The Beer Syrup Company is based in Louisville, Kentucky, and they created a non-alcoholic syrup made with craft beer as the base instead of water. They launched a Kickstarter campaign to jumpstart their product. So far, there are three flavors — Mocha Porter, Pecan Nut Brown, and Bourbon Barrel Stout.

The beer syrup could also be used as a substitute for simple syrup or sugar when making desserts, or as a glaze for meats and vegetables. Of course, the syrup contains a variety of malts, hops, and yeast, which result in a flavor that is different from standard maple syrup.

The Beer Syrup Company is aiming to start sending their products to Kickstarter backers beginning in December.

We have definitely heard of bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, but beer is something different that will be fun for those who prefer brews to liquor.
