The most wonderful time of the year is back again! Tuesday, April 4, is Ben & Jerry’s annual Free Cone Day. Any customer can walk into any Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop between noon and 8 p.m. and get a free small cone with one scoop of any flavor they want. (Plus, you can come back for seconds if you so desire!)

The iconic promotion has been going on for the past 20 years and officially heralds the start of “ice cream season” — as if, for some reason, a little wintry weather has ever stopped us from indulging in our favorite scoop or pint.

Some Ben & Jerry’s locations are really getting into the spirit of the unofficial holiday. The location in Burlington, Vermont, the hometown of the popular ice cream brand, is closed for renovations tomorrow, but will be hosting an all-day block party featuring free scoops and information on climate change.
