American Express Gold Kicks Off Private Dinner Party Series

Celebrating life's biggest moments is often accompanied by great food, drinks, and company, all of which and more were present at the first installment of American Express Gold's Private Dinner Party Series, in collaboration with The Infatuation, at Seamore's. Owner Michael Chernow and the Seamore's team created a five-course tasting menu especially for the event, with curated cocktails accompanying each course from The Liquor Cabinet.

Off-menu highlights made especially for the event included linguini and clams with a white wine butter sauce and a whole roasted black sea bass with ginger scallion salsa and guajillo sauce. Chernow says, "[Seamore's] is built around simple seafood, and we wanted to do a few things that speak to classic, simple seafood, simply seasoned... I really love black sea bass, and so we did simply seared whole black sea bass, which is one of my favorite things that we don't do at the restaurant."

On the meal he had the last time he celebrated something great, Chernow says, "I had a meal at Masa last week. I've been there once before in my life. [It was] one of the most memorable meals I've ever had, and it was to celebrate a TV show that I got with my agent."

American Express Gold's Private Dinner Series celebrates not only the big milestones and achievements, but life's journey as a whole. During opening remarks, Chernow said, "The truth is, the journey never stops when you're doing some shit that you're passionate about, and there is no destination when you're doing something that you're passionate about."

The six-part dinner party series continues, with upcoming dinners in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston. Fans can follow The Infatuation on Twitter and Instagram for a chance to win a seat at the private dinner party in their city.
