Consumers are urged not to eat the product and return them to their local Aldi store.

A New Jersey company is recalling cashew halves and pieces sold at Aldi stores because the canisters could contain pieces of glass.

Star Snacks Co. of Jersey City, New Jersey, initiated the voluntary recall of two lots of 8-ounce canisters of Southern Grove Cashew Halves and Pieces with Sea Salt after it received complaints from consumers that glass was found in the canisters.

The recalled cashews have the following information on the label:

UPC code 041498179366

Code: Best by date 11/27/18 & 11/28/18 (printed on the bottom of the can)
