A 14-Year-Old Will Go Head-To-Head Against Rocco DiSpirito And 4 Other Professional Chefs On 'Food Fighters'

On Thursday, July 16, 14-year-old Troy Glass will compete against James Beard Award winner Rocco DiSpirito and four other professional chefs on Food Fighters, the new NBC culinary competition series.

Glass has previously competed on MasterChef Junior and made his way to the semifinals, while his competitors, chefs Hop Phan, Lovely Jackson, Chris Nirschel, and Keriann Von Raesfeld, have appeared on programs including Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen.

With each professional chef Glass defeats, the young culinary talent will climb a "money ladder" with increasing cash prizes, for the chance to win up to $100,000. Although we don't know the details, we've also been promised that Rocco will bring a special gift for Troy, "who later gets the surprise of his life in an emotional, must-see ending that viewers won't want to miss."

Thursday's episode, featuring the show's first-ever "kid contestant," airs at 8 p.m. on NBC.
