Third Annual 'Just One Shift' Campaign To Fight Global Water Crisis Returns March 16

On Monday, March 16, the annual "Just One Shift" campaign — in which bartenders and servers around the world are encouraged to donate all or part of their tips from a single shift to the non-profit organization Wine to Water, which provides clean water and sanitation to those in need — returns for the third time.

Founded by gaz regan (the cocktail and spirits expert formerly known as Gary Regan), Just One Shift has previously featured participants from more than 34 countries around the world.

Last year, a total of 177 individuals signed up and raised a total of $41,872.67, which provided clean water to 40,000 people for a full year. This year, regan hopes to raise at least $100,000.

The 2015 program will begin on Monday, March 16 and end on Sunday, March 22, World Water Day. Bartenders and servers can sign up to donate proceeds from their chosen shift online at Just One Shift.

In a new twist to the campaign this year, the two highest-grossing donors will be given an all-expenses-paid trip with Wine to Water to the Dominican Republic, where they will help provide clean water to those who need it. A second trip with Wine to Water in August will be open exclusively to bartenders and servers who participated in Just One Shift 2015.
