Thief Steals $15,000 Bottle Of Hennessy From Kids Charity

Talk about leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.

Police officers in Foxboro, Massachusetts, are searching for a thief that broke into a suite filled with items meant for a Rodman for Kids charity auction. Perhaps most notable was a $15,000 bottle of Hennessy XO Cognac, which is 12 inches wide and 22 inches tall, The Sun Chronicle reported.

"A bottle that big will be a talking point for some people," Detective Patrick Morrison said. The break-in was said to have taken place late at night Aug. 1 or early Aug. 2.

Jewelry and sports memorabilia were also stolen, including New England Patriot jerseys signed by Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Police are asking anyone that has seen the bottle or has any information regarding the theft to contact Morrison or Officer Charles Gallagher at (508) 543-1212.

Rodman for Kids is "a matching gift charity that raises funds for youth focused social services agencies that support at-risk children in Massachusetts," according to its website.
