Starbucks Adds Coconut and Almond Milk Macchiatos to its Spring Menu

The company puts a spin on the classic espresso drink

Both of the new macchiatos can be served either hot or iced.

Springtime is upon us, and Starbucks is ready with the addition of two new drinks, Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato and Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato, to its official menu this week.

Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato consists of espresso layered with almond milk and cinnamon dolce syrup, topped off with the chain’s signature caramel cross-hatch and a sprinkle of cinnamon dolce spice.

Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato is made with espresso poured over coconut milk with white chocolate mocha sauce. This drink is also topped off with caramel and a mocha sauce swirl to create “five perfectly-balanced layers of espresso sweetness in every sip.”

Although the drinks use dairy alternatives, the beverages are not entirely dairy-free, since the company’s signature caramel sauce contains dairy. The Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato can also be made with sugar-free cinnamon dolce syrup.

Starbucks is offering a Buy One, Get One deal from March 2 through March 6 between 2 to 5 p.m., local time. With this offer, customers can buy any size macchiato and get another one for free.


To say that Starbucks has been on a roll this year is an understatement. Only a few months into the new year, the company has debuted its Cascara Latte, a line of chocolatey Valentine’s Day beverages, the arrival of its affogato at select Starbucks Reserve bars, and the viral secret menu Matcha Pink drink.
