Now You Can Order A Mermaid Frappuccino At Starbucks

A new mythical creature-inspired drink is available at Starbucks, and it might give the Unicorn Frappuccino a run for its money. The drink was created by Starbucks barista and blogger Jócelyn Freeman, also known as The Modern Barista.

According to a post on Instagram, a Starbucks in Bay City, Michigan, sold out of the Unicorn Frappuccino on its first day available, but Freeman was able to whip up an equally Instagrammable substitute. Freeman says that the secret menu drink is essentially a Pokémon Go Frappuccino, a Vanilla Bean-based drink which was available for a limited time, without raspberry syrup. Instead, this version of the drink is drizzled with toasted coconut matcha sauce.

To order a grande Mermaid Frappuccino, you can ask your barista for a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with three scoops of freeze-dried blackberries and drizzled with a matcha sauce made with eight pumps of white mocha, three pumps of toasted coconut, and three scoops of matcha powder, according to Cosmopolitan.

"We have a huge responsibility to deliver the #Starbucks experience to all of these new customers," Freeman wrote in a comment on Instagram. "Instead of wishing it would stop (because it's not) embrace it! Have fun! I am always #proudtobeyourpartner."
