Next Month You Can Start Sending Starbucks Gift Cards Via Text Message
Starbucks has utilized technology to create the utmost convenience for its customers through mobile ordering and even a capability to order coffee through Amazon Alexa. Starting next month, the coffee chain is enabling the gift of giving by rolling out an option that allows Starbucks lovers to send gift cards through text.
The option is available through iMessage and will allow gift card recipients to use the voucher directly from the messaging app or import it to their Starbucks app, BuzzFeed reported.
The new feature comes at the same time as Kevin Johnson prepares to enter his new role as the upcoming chief executive officer at Starbucks.
One of the new initiatives coming with the change in leadership include the coffee chain's "#20More" plan which aims to welcome 20 more customers a day across all locations in the United States and increase sales.
