Maxwell Britten has officially joined The Liquor Cabinet as Chief Brand Officer. A bartender and industry influencer, Britten has led the beverage program at Maison Premiere, which has been nominated for three James Beard awards, for the past five years.

Britten has been brought onto the team as the cocktail and spirits expert to “help tie the stories together, curate a database of drink & liquor knowledge as well as add a personal connection to the liquor community,” according to a release.

“I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and after these several very successful years, I’m overjoyed to join The Liquor Cabinet team and pursue new creative outlets that incorporate what I know best with technology and marketing,” says Maxwell. “For me, building The Liquor Cabinet means the opportunity to merge my expertise with my ambitions and try out new ideas in a big way. Having a ubiquitous platform to share my knowledge and educate users is rewarding and inspiring at the same time.”

The Liquor Cabinet, a two-fold digital resource for all things spirits, will take the form of a fully integrated app and an online platform. Both platforms aim to bring spirits through life through “classic cocktail recipes, unique stories, stunning imagery, and in-depth unbiased information.” The app is set to launch in Spring 2016 and the online platform will have its full debut later this year.
