La Colombe’s CEO describes the canned draft latte as the company’s “Mona Lisa”

La Colombe sold more than 10,000 cans of draft latte the first day it went on sale online.

Draft lattes, currently exclusive to La Colombe cafés and online stores, will soon be available across the United States.

By the end of January, the canned draft latte will be available at more than 2,000 stores such as Whole Foods Market, Target, Wegmans, Costco Wholesale, and Wawa, Business Journal Philadelphia reported.

In just one month, the company will expand from nine to 36 states.

"I do want everyone, by June, to be within walking distance of their favorite drink," CEO Todd Carmichael told Philadelphia Business Journal. "The world has gone mobile. If you can put a computer in your backpack, you can have a latte."

The canned draft latte was initially released earlier this year as the first of its kind, featuring “the full taste and texture of a true iced latte,” according to the company’s website.
