Forget Rainbow Drinks; Pokémon Go Frappuccinos Are Here

This summer, Starbucks has made headlines for its rainbow drinks; Instagrammers everywhere have delighted in posing with orange, pink, and other beautifully colored drinks that don't appear on Starbucks' regular menu. Now, a new secret menu creation is making waves, with the summer's hottest app — Pokémon Go — inspiring a new line of Frappuccinos.

It started in New Zealand, where one barista created a Pokeball-themed Frappuccino. The drink is a combination of a strawberry and vanilla Frappucino topped with strawberry whipped cream. Another location in Korea has a different take on a Pokeball Frappuccino, including a mocha drizzle and a cake pop.

Meanwhile, on this side of the Pacific, Starbucks locations are joining in on the craze, too. Southern California baristas are making drinks modeled after various Pokémon characters, including Eevee, Bulbasaur, and Jigglypuff.

Only time will tell if these drinks make it to the rest of the world, but as any secret menu master will tell you, just because it isn't on the menu doesn't mean you can't order it.
