Could Pickle Juice Soda Be The New Unicorn Frappuccino?

There's a new wacky flavor in town, and no, it's not a play on the Unicorn food trend. In fact, it's quite the opposite — Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop, a candy chain in Pennsylvania and Ohio, has recently launched its Pickle Juice Soda, and the internet is intrigued.

"If you're the kind of pickle lover who relishes all things pickled, this is gonna be a really big dill. Pickle Juice Soda Pop is here," Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop wrote on its Facebook page.

"Your brain prepares you for the taste of pickle juice (like right from the jar)," the candy shop wrote to Mashable in an email. "It smells just like dill pickle juice as you might imagine. The taste is spot-on. While the flavor isn't overwhelming, it's sweet and would definitely satisfy that pickle craving."

Naturally, the internet is divided with some loving the idea and some hating it.

Pickle Juice Soda is available for $2.50 per 12-ounce bottle in-stores and $9.99 online with shipping included. If one bottle isn't enough, the soda is also available in a three-pack for $19.99 and a six-pack for $29.99.
