Bud Light Truck Crashes After Owner Gets Distracted By His Dog

A Bud Light tractor-trailer crashed Tuesday, August 11, when the driver was distracted by his dog, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The truck overturned along Interstate 75, spilling thousands of beer cans all over the highway.

The driver, 23-year-old Malcolm Jamal Wilcox, was subsequently ticketed for careless driving. "Troopers said he collided with the center median before overturning about 7:30 a.m.," according to the Tampa Bay Times. "He had drifted to the shoulder of the roadway after his small dog distracted him, then turned too hard to his left to correct the drift."

No one, human or canine, was hurt, and only one lane of traffic was closed for cleanup.

This summer has been rife with unfortunate food truck spills, from the loss of 46,000 pounds of yogurt to the spill of 220 gallonsĀ of Vermont maple syrup to the crash of a truck carrying 90,000 empty beer bottles.
