Where You Lead, I Will Flambé: A Gilmore Girls Cookbook Is In The Making

Pretty soon you'll be able to eat like the famous fictional residents of Stars Hollow. Eat Like A Gilmore is a cookbook project in the making, containing more than 60 recipes inspired by the popular WB drama series, Gilmore Girls.

Although the book — written and compiled by cook and baker Kristi Carlson — is not officially sanctioned by the show's creators, it will contain recipes you'd see at Luke's Diner or food created by Sookie at The Dragonfly Inn.

The tentative release date is set for December 2016, which will coordinate nicely with the Netflix revival of the Gilmore Girls series. If you want to guarantee a timely release date, you may want to consider donating to the Kickstarter campaign, which is trying to raise $20,000 and has already achieved more than half of its goal with 25 days to go. If you donate $30, you'll receive a signed first-edition copy of the cookbook.

"Whose imagination wouldn't be captured by the mention of a s'mores wedding cake or pumpkin pancakes served with apple butter, or peach sauce made with maple syrup or a sausage wrapped in a pancake, tied with a piece of bacon?" Carlson asks.
