If you’re a Bob’s Burgers fan, one of your favorite parts of any episode is probably catching a glimpse of the often extremely clever pun-tastic burger of the day written on the chalkboard menu. Well, now you’ll be able to make your own “Bleu is the Warmest Cheese Burger” and “I Know Why the Cajun Burger Sings” thanks to the official Bob’s Burgers cookbook coming out next month.
We announced that the cookbook was coming last year, back when it still the brainchild of the Bob’s Burger Experiment Blog, created by a superfan who painstakingly developed his own recipes for each burger featured in a Bob’s Burgers episode. Now, blogger Loren Bouchard has collaborated with the show’s writers to create The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book, available for pre-sale on Amazon.
The recipes are unusual and creative, to say the least. “I Know Why the Cajun Burger Sings” is a “sausage and beef burger stuffed with shrimp gumbo and rice, topped with collard greens. Served with crawfish and even more collard greens." The “She’ll Be Coming Round the Plantain Burger” is “a jalapeño cumin burger topped with refried beans and melty Monterey jack cheese [that] comes with a side of fried plantain tostones covered in mole sauce.”
The bad news is you have to wait until March 22 to get your hands on one. Now if you need us, we’ll be down here on the floor, dying in anticipation, much like Tina Belcher.
