'MasterChef' Is Hosting An Open Casting Call In Boston Next Weekend

MasterChef is holding open casting calls to recruit contestants for its eighth season. There will be an open casting call in Boston next Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Hyatt Regency Boston.

Applicants must bring a prepared dish to serve the judges. They will be given three minutes to plate their dish, however there will be no kitchen available to cook or warm up said dish, according to the MasterChef casting website. Dishes and utensils will also not be provided.

To attend, contestants can preregister and fill out an application form. The lengthy application form collects basic information and asks questions to get a sense of each contestant. Questions include, "What are your first memories of cooking/being in the kitchen? What led to your love of food?" "What are your strengths / secret weapons in the kitchen?" and "If you win the title of MasterChef, what would be your dream to come out of this opportunity?"

The seventh season of MasterChef is set to premiere on June 1.
