Tips
- Yes, New York *Bakery* is a second-floor hole-in-the-wall, located near K-Town, run by Spanish-speaking Koreans, frequented by Mexicans, and it serves the best fish tacos in the city on Tues/Fri.
- NY Bakery is magic. The Korean owner speaks fluent Spanish to the Mexican cooks who cook up awesome tacos and noodles. Keep an eye on the daily specials.
- Harrison is the man! He's my go-to guy for Taco Tuesday. On Thursdays and Fridays go and try the mol. You won't regret it.
- New York Bakery is now closed due to the building being scheduled for demolition. Thanks, crummy developers.
- Located on the north side of 29th, look for the double metal doors.
- FYI: cash only!
- Tacos come in orders of three. You can mix and match.
- enchiladas. enchiladas verde. they give you three GIANT enchiladas. the sauce = brilliant. stewed chicken = tenderoni. delish.
- legit mexican food
- Don't let the name fool you, the authentic Mexican chow here is great.
- Fresh genuine tacos in a small basic joint. Pollo is good but fish is better.
- Fish Tacos on Thursdays
- Be sure to ask them what the daily specials are (the board is always out dated). The Tuesday/Friday fried fish taco special is fantastic. Taquera style tacos (onions, cilantro, lime, meat).
