Tips
- lox and cream cheese!
- don't ask for toasted bagels here, they get mad and throw lox at you
- Everyone says get the lox, and they're not wrong. But Russ & Daughters has as good lox, so you should really get what Murray's does best: whitefish salad on a bagel. They'll put a 1/2 pound on, too.
- Winner of Best Bagel in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! Covering both sides in topping? Why doesn't everyone do this?
- Great bagels, but be warned: toasting is strictly forbidden.
- Go with a friend and do a splitty-splitty on a bagel with lox+scallion cream cheese and another with whitefish salad. Why pick one when you should have both?
- whitefish salad on a freshly made bagel. the long line is worth it, but move quickly, know your order, and never *ever* ask to have your bagel toasted (they're freshly made on premises!)
- Great place to start off the day. Bagels are great, lots of options to choose. Very filling and a frequent quick breakfast spot for us.

- Murray's Bagels is a West Village staple. Saturday/Sunday morning breakfasts sitting out on the 6th ave benches
- The coffee here stinks. The bagels are amazing (see my stink breath tip). But there's an app called foursquare that will help you find drinkable coffee. Go the extra yard
- Even if it's crowded, the line at Murray's moves quickly and is worth the wait. Tons of cream cheeses to choose from, try one with the whole wheat everything bagel!
- They never toast the bagels, but they're so fresh they really don't need to be.

- Murray's Bagels in Greenwich Village bakes fifteen varieties of huge, chewy bagels, but you can't get any of these bagels toasted. They're hot from the oven, and that's the point.
- Screw this place, "we don't toast", what a bunch of duchebags!
- Scallion cream cheese is the bomb. Pair it with an everything bagel to make life perfect.
- Murray's had a knack for 2 things: 1) making tasty bagels and 2) screwing up people's orders.
