  • Want to get away from the tourists, but not willing to commit to an all day hike? Try the Ocean View > Lost > Fossil Creek > Main loop. ~2 hours, great sights, few people

  • 2 Tips for the Ocean View Trail: 1) estimate is 2.5 hours, but my wife and I did it in 1:10. 2) It's a lovely walk, but you're just hiking up to the road you drove to reach Muir's parking. Same view.
  • Purely amazing!!!! Go early to avoid the crowds.
  • I was here all afternoon but there isn't a gps signal so just now checking in.

  • Only spent about half an hour here but was a really nice walk. Can get cold because of the large trees shading you from the sun.
  • Come here on a week day where you will fight less Louis Vuitton toting ladies for solitude.
  • If you are visiting with a tour, be mindful that it's only 2 hours. There are much more amazing sights/trails if you make it an all day affair.
  • Amazing redwood forest! Parking is packed on weekends and holidays. Plan to park on the road, almost half mile away if you go then!
  • Parking is very difficult. Lots fill up fast do get to the park early if you want to get a spot. Hiking trails leave from the visitors center. Take at least the mile loop for key views.
  • 1) it's imperative to get here before 9am, painful as that is. Amazing place as long as you beat the crowds 2) people...shut.up. Your incessant, loud chatter ruins the experience for everyone else.
