  • Go all the way to the back, the very back to find an enclosed garden that feels great in winter or summer. And order the rosemary chicken sandwich. Yes they have more than good coffee here.
  • Huevos Rancheros is killer. Fun fact: the hot sauce is so spicy, it caused my beard to grow two inches upon consumption
  • Order a mug of straight up Mud coffee. Brunch here is actually very tasty, but sit on the back patio if you can or you'll smell like a kitchen for the remainder of the day.
  • can't get enough of the avocado panini on sourdough, w/ home fries on the side, and of course, a cup of mud.
  • Cant find the Mud Truck, but are craving an Iced Almond Latte or a Mint Mochaccino, then grab a seat at their caf especially in the outdoor patio.
  • Actually, it's called The Mudspot and not Mud - used to work for them, it's how they roll.
  • Iced latte is the best. Food and atmosphere are a plus too.
  • The best Chai latte around, made with Tiger Chai. They also make awesome coffee and are a great brunch spot! Note: they are cash only.
  • Little known fact: the bathroom here won "hardest bathroom to make love in" in 2004 Time Out NY Awards
  • Anna at the front is hott and a great server!!!
  • The stationary sister to the popular Mud Truck, this caf has a great brunch menu and coffee served in heavy duty mugs.
  • Best Chai Latte in NYC! Like xmas in your mouth.
  • Best soy chai latte I've ever had. Ever!
  • Make time for MUD! Seek out the bright orange MUD truck (often at Astor Place) or the funky, cramped cafe on E. 9, and get yourself a cuppa joe that's got street cred, baby.
  • To me, there is nothing better than drinking a coffee on a weekend morning at the Mudspot.
  • The sourdough almond French toast is incredible
  • The ice cream sandwich puts chipwich to shame.
  • Be careful. The coffee is very strong. Get the avocado pressed sandwich w/home fries for brunch.
  • Make sure you have cash in hand, since they don't take credit cards
  • Chai latte. Do it.
