The $1,000 Naim Mu-so Qb may be the neatest wireless speaker we have seen in a while. As the company’s follow-up to their larger Mu-so that was launched in 2014, the 300-watt cube can be controlled via a touchscreen on the top, which is encircled by a light-up aluminum ring that manipulates the volume. The device has a glass-filled polymer casing that helps create low frequencies and even though it’s only around eight inches wide, it still features five drivers that are offset and angled to create left-right dispersion asymmetry.

“In this arrangement are two microfiber dome tweeters and two mid drivers, all four driven by 50W amplifiers, with rare earth magnets and copper-capped poles for even greater accuracy,” says the company. “And for low frequencies we’ve installed two pistonic passive bass radiators. These work alongside a custom-made woofer that’s driven by a 100W amplifier to create an astonishing bass sound for a system this size.”

Though it is a wireless speaker, that doesn’t mean it’s battery-powered. The gadget just wirelessly connects to your device to play music via AirPlay, Bluetooth, TIDAL and Spotify. Aside from the standard black, it will also be available in blue, orange and red.

The Naim Mu-so Qb will hit the market in the spring.
