Tips

  • Get the Okonomiyaki ($16), it's grilled Japanese cabbage pancake covered by trout, poppy tobiko pearls, shiso-bud microgreens, foie gras, and a drizzle of foie-maple syrup.
  • The best ramen contender to Ippudo. The Mu Ramen has a unique beef and bone marrow broth, throw on a poached egg. The U and I is an awesome rice bowl with uni, salmon roe, and spicy tuna.
  • Superb food! Pretty much tried everything except specials in 3 visits, everything is worth reordering. Spicy miso is fave, add egg and pork jowl. Also U&I, okonomiyaki, charred edamame - all great!!
  • Tonkatsu 2.0 ramen and pork buns are unreal. Fast, friendly service too. Just make sure to reserve a spot!! Can't wait to come back.
  • Come early to put your name on the list. Shisito peppers, short rib buns, and spicy miso ramen are highlights. Feels kinda like a "chef's table" without a $100 price tag. Best dining experience in LIC
  • Loved the short rib bun & spicy miso ramen!
  • Realllly delicious ramen, the broth is spot on, the noodles are perfectly al dente. Got the U + I and the spicy miso. Only 14 seats bc it's only a duo that's running the show. So eat here, k?
  • U-N-I is delicious, and make sure you get pork jowl with your ramen, SO tender!
  • This Long Island City joint serves the city's best tonkotsu. The result is a silky, chowder-like mouthfeel, and a richness level that doesn't make you feel terrible when you're finished.
  • The Mu ramen is amazing, although the owner told me it is not actually their signature ramen...since it is an oxtail broth it's a play on the sound "moo" a cow makes. Sometimes they have sea urchin.
  • The U & I is magical, beautiful and a must have.
  • Everything is delicious. The wings stuffed with brioche and fois gras are amazing. CASH ONLY.
  • Okonomiyaki to start, spicy miso (add poached egg!) to finish. A one-two punch of flavorful awesomeness. Cool ambiance and communal seating.
  • The ramen is top notch, but the buns! Omg. The buns are other worldly!
  • amazing seafood ramen (limited time offering). literally the biggest shrimp i've seen. one of the best broths among ramen spots.
  • Love this place! Both the spicy miso and the wasabi shoyu ramens are super in point. Can't wait to try the tonkatsu 2.0 next.
  • Must have the pork belly bun.
  • Incredible. Can't decide what was better, the food or the presentation.
  • make sure to put your name down ahead of time and grab a drink next door while you wait
  • I'll be honest. Having been many times, I've always been the #1 advocate for Ippudo... until today. Mu Ramen is the best ramen in NYC, with influences from RamenLab and Ippudo, I was left speechless
