Tips

  • Best brunch. There. We said it. And coming from NYC, we know a bit about brunch.
  • Comfortable and familiar, relaxed and easygoing, Moonshine greets guests like family. Serving up great cooking with an innovative take on classic American comfort food.
  • My favorite restaurant downtown. Try the horseradish crusted salmon.
  • The beautiful limestone building on the National Register of Historic Places offers Deep South charm, with water served in mason jars, corn muffins, and broiled rainbow trout with cornbread stuffing.
  • Lunch Time? Moonshine will set you right for the rest of the day. An Austin Chronicle favorite for best buffet, brunch and American food. Arrive early to beat the rush!
  • VH1 is filming our VH1 Top 20 Countdown from here during SXSW Music. Stop by and say hello!
  • Try the green chili mac and cheese. You won't be disappointed.
  • Zazzle will be in the Patio at #SXSW from March 11-15! Mention us on Twitter with hashtag #zazzlesxsw to get a free customizable iPhone case!
  • Chef Larry is throwing down on American favorites. -Tiffany Derry, Top Chef
  • I'll confirm the Sunday brunch buffet. Outstanding selection!!
  • Have dinner at Moonshine.
  • The Malbec and the White Boys are Hot!!!
  • Any platter you order will be delish.
  • Half-priced apps at happy hour, so double up. We love the Beer Battered Asparagus and Moonshine corn dog Shrimp.
  • Turns out this is my favorite place to eat during SXSW. It's a nice refuge from the chaos. Get the Fajita Steak salad, only in Texas can this called a salad.
  • Try the green chili macaroni!!! Soo delicious!!!
  • Great drinks, really good food. The green chili cheese grits were my favorite of everything we had.
  • Corn dog shrimp...... that is all
  • Hangar steak SUCKS. Flavorless rubber
  • The brunch is out if this world. Start off with an incredible $4 bloody or pomegranate mimosa, don't miss the candied yams, cornflake chicken, jalapeo sausage, king casserole and bread pudding.
