Tips

  • Best place EVER for kids (of ALL ages!!!)
  • The Dynamic Earth exhibit was made possible due to a 5 year NASA grant designed to give visitors a better understanding of how Earth is changing based on both man made and natural forces.
  • Awesome for kids and grownups alike. Don't forget a bathing suit for your kids so they can play in the water part during the summer.
  • The Montshire is a great place for families with kids ranging in age from 1 - 30! In the summer there is an outside water exhibit so if you have little ones bring a change of clothes.
  • Gain free admission via the ASTC reciprocal admission program!
  • Great fun when they have adult nights from 6 to 9 every couple of months. Play, play, play!
  • An annual membership is a no brainer for local families. Too bad the museum isn't an ASTC passport participant.
  • We're here almost every weekend. Worth a trip, or a membership for locals. The water feature in summer is fun, and the trails are beautiful and underused.
  • Great place to bring kids, My 4 year old nephew was keeps busy for hours. We love SUE... OHH make sure you go outside
  • Arrive as early as possible so you can take advantage of all of the fun activities!
  • Wifi is "MMS Guest" with a password of "tadpole1" as of January, 2014.
  • Great place creative place to have a wedding reception. Especially when there's children of all ages
  • Queen leaf cutter ant in smallest fungus garden. Saw the thorax today!
  • Great exhibits for kids and families. Sign up your preschooler for science classes on Wednesday if you are a local!
  • Fun for all ages!
  • If you are looking for activities to keep the kids entertained (and not bore you) check out this hands on museum. Don't forget a swimsuit and watershoes.
  • Bring a lunch; lots of picnic areas, and trails to walk. Great for kids of all ages!
  • As an adult, I love Windows on Earth. Similar to Google Earth. I could sit there for hours!
  • During the summer, King Arthur Flour has fresh sandwiches available for lunch at the big white tent outside! Yum!
  • A real hidden treasure! Make sure the kids have either a swim suit or a change of clothes for the wading pool area. Good family hiking trails as well
