Tips

  • Voted top ten chicken wings! Each bit of the wing brings a different spice flavor. Not entirely savory, not exactly sweet, it's an entirely unidentifiable, familiar flavor.
  • Scotch and the Monte Carlo Wings. Make it happen!
  • One of the best patios in the city. The martinis here are perfect and classically done. Not to mention the generally endless liquor selection. They don't have ginger beer though.
  • Best cheese burger in downtown Minneapolis.
  • Great drinks and the wings app is very tasty. Great service from Kristine and others!
  • The reviews are true; the Monte Carlo wings are that good. Enjoy the patio before a Twin's game. It's an easy walk to Target Field.
  • Wings are the best! Dry rubbed with a million seasonings of sweet & savory.
  • Shortly after killing his first victim. Andrew Cunanan stopped in for a lite dinner.
  • Loved dinner on the patio. Nice atmosphere. Cocktails are $12 but you get two drinks worth.
  • Voted top 10 Martinis! Now that you're all grown up and graduated from Scooby Snacks and Colorado Bulldogs, the bartenders at the Monte Carlo are ready to pour you what you've been missing.
  • Best Classic Bar 2012 - Its the bar that sets the standard, the one you see yourself sitting at in the movie of your life.
  • The godfather of Minneapolis bars ... life would be worse without it! My favorite for years!
  • Downtown Minneapolis' oldest restaurant.
  • Ask for ann, Jason or Allison!
  • Order an Old Fashioned with rye whiskey. Because I said so, that's why.
  • shrimp cocktail ftw
  • Sit at the bar and order the best scotch you can afford. Neat.
  • Chicken wings, seafood pasta and classic cocktails. Also, the bartenders are great- knowledgeable and amiable.
  • The Monte Carlo wings (Beijing Style) are the bomb dot com. Hot and crispy with a salty, sweet, and spicy dry rub on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Get a basket to share. No regrets.
  • The North Loop may be so hot right now, but the Monte Carlo has been holding it down since 1906. Sit at the bar with a martini and the famous wings, or get the traditional steak.[Eater 38 Member]
