  • One of Cliff's top 10 restaurants. There is nothing on his menu he would not recommend. But the slider-like steamed buns and late-night ramens are favorites.
  • Named as one of Bon Appetit's six favorite izakayas in North America, Miso Izakaya also happens to be helmed by 2011 Eater Atlanta Award-Winning Chef of the Year Guy Wong. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Roasted duck confit, shredded and crisp around the edges, is tucked into the fold of a delicate steamed rice-flour bun, make the crispy duck buns one of CL's 100 Dishes to try before you die.
  • Using the crabs, a couple eggs, a slice of bacon, & a couple of handy techniques, Wong makes a variation on the traditional Japanese egg custard that is as complex as it is comforting.
  • The spring maki roll is one of the best sushi rolls I have had. The fried fish cheek is great too!
  • The shoyu tamago is a must, and you can get those cool t-shirts for just $10. But please, for the love of all that is holy, bring back the heated pineapple.
  • Best meal I've had in a while...hands down! Chef Guy Wong rocks it out!
  • If Hello Kitty had a mouth, she'd take great pleasure in this Japanese version of a slider named Hamburg bun. The bun is folded over and pinned to contain a patty of freshly ground pork belly and beef
  • kakuni bun is a must.
  • Guy wong is awesome!!!
  • Fried pork belly buns: heavenly.
  • Everything here is amazing. The pork belly bun especially.
  • Here's a tip: If you want cocktails, look for the menu hanging from your table. Don't ask your server, because if you get ours, he'll "explain" the sake menu by "reading" it aloud to you.
  • Guy Wong is on the map! This place is awesome! Try the buns!!...and I don't mean his.
  • The Hitachino Nipponian beer is a MUST!!! It's a pricey beer, but it's high gravity, in a large bottle, and worth every penny--and then some.
  • Best short ribs in town and I love the pork belly bun
  • As much as I love the food here, I absolutely do not recommend it anytime it's anything other than completely dead. They ALWAYS mess up my order and leave me waiting far too long. Boo, Miso. :(
  • Eat a million crispy duck buns.
  • Available beginning at 10PM. This is gourmet ramen: top-notch toppings, amazing noodles. Clean, fantastic broth with depth of flavor that develops character as toppings soak over time.
  • Try the late night menu Tonkatsu Ramen!
