Foursquare Tips

  • Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. join George Abou-Daoud for a Fathers Day barbecue in the lot by District & Mercantile with Dads favorites: ribs, pork, beans, & corn on the cob.
  • Bottomless mimosas during weekend brunch for $15.
  • The grilled cheese and jalapeo sandwich with tomatillo soup is amazing. Everything I crave Ina grilled cheese.
  • 4 different Bloody Mary's for $9 each during weekend brunch.
  • Elizabeth is right. BTW, I am adding this 2nd tip, recommending the smoked trout!
  • Probably the best BLT I've ever had
  • Oh much as I love this place, this new management stuff is verrrrryyyy interesting. If you're in a rush...don't even attempt. Get aggressive when you want something from the case. People are nice tho!
  • Go to The Mercantile and don't leave without tasting their "Oreos"
  • Its called The Mercantile. Order the brioche french toast w/ maple ice cream. Delicious!
  • Dog-friendly patio! They even bring a water bowl for your hound.
  • Sit outside and order pitchers of mimosas.
  • Hangover sammich++
  • The ice cream is fantastique. Go for Nutella Banana or Peppermint White Chocolate. Sample them all!
  • A popular dish is the house-cured salmon served as salad on the dinner menu, with escolar, white beans and breadcrumbs. Salmon also does double duty at brunch in a play on a bagel and lox.
  • Only been a few times but this place has the best turkey and orange marmalade sandwich! They serve the beverages in old mason jars and I literally felt like I was home in the south!
  • Had the grilled salmon and red quinoa salad special and loved it so much, I'd marry it!
  • Nicoise salad is PERFECT
  • The mussels were DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the Pantheon wine.
  • The French toast changes seasonally but is always fantastic.
  • Try the Villa Rosa for a sweet glass of awesome. It's a difficult bubbly to find around town, too.
