Tips

  • Try the Camaron tacos. It's shrimp, roasted garlic, chipotle mayo, avocado and it's amazing!
  • Very loud and sceney, but there is no doubting the soft handmade tortillas.
  • Try the estrellados y tampiquea from our 100 Best list: We order steak and eggs, and we challenge you to find a better, more fairly priced version than this aggressively seasoned $12 skirt steak.
  • Have Paul, Brenda or Danny make you a margarita upstairs. Then head down to Double A to visit Scott & Jay for some tasty libations.
  • You cant go wrong with Mercadito; both the food & drinks are amazing, particularly any of the tacos if you can get a table.
  • Hot tortas are the heartiest plates on the menu, served on crisp slabs of pressed telera, with a side of black bean puree, this time with napa cabbage, avocado and Oaxaca cheese.
  • OMG this place has the best Corona and the tacos are also delightful!
  • Have the baja tacos for lunch. Nice portion and delicious. The mango refresco is tasty too.
  • Their margaritas are the best in the city, drink up!
  • The duck mole tacos are my favorite!!!! Try them and a mango margarita!
  • The battered mahi mahi tacos are insanely good!
  • Their Mahi Mahi Tacos are absolutely to die for
  • Get a Daisy Lightning cocktail at Double A below Mercadito.
  • Staff friendly... Excellent taste.. Rapido service... Try anything you want... You wont regret..
  • Chef Ryan Poli eats here on his nights off. He loves the Camarn tacos.
  • Mercadito was awesome! There wasn't a thing we didn't love about the food and service. We were there on a Saturday and it was incredibly loud, not something I would normally comment on.
  • Worst place to enjoy Mexican food it an embarrassment calling it Mexican or even TexMex more like Taco Bell... Just overly priced for a $10 meal... I rather go to PEPES or Lalos for better food.
  • Always trust the special. Original and best cocktails. Ceviche is amazing. Guac is also! But the tacos...to die for!! Perfect collaboration of heat and flavor!
  • Try the Pulpo Al Pastor - Best octopus I've ever had. Tacos were amazing.
  • Really good house margaritas, decor and music!
