• Good, solid, no-frills diner grub, just the way it should be. Denver omelet bursts with chunks of peppers and onion. Home fries are killer, especially with their salsa on top.

• It was so neat visiting Mel's, the inspiration for the diner used in the old TV series "Alice." The food was wholesome and tasty. Definitely above average though not quite in a league of its own.
