Tips
- I highly suggest only going downtown. Service was unacceptable, food took over an hour to come, and after we complained no one came over to apologize. Not a good experience but great balls
- I never thought eating meatballs could be so cool.
- Chicken balls with spicy meat sauce is a safe bet every time. Save room for a B(uild)YO ice cream sammy and always check the ice cream flavor of the day before committing to a staple.
- Chicken meatball smash with classic tomato, mozz, and 'family jewels'get a side of parmesan cream for dipping and don't be afraid to put the arugula with dressing and apple slices right on top!
- Spicy pork with spicy meat sauce - bomb.
- Amaze-balls. Try the spicy pork with spicy meat sauce! With a nice whiskey float :D
- Get the special veal balls if your ballin'. Bitches brew is a tasty summer beer drink. Affogatto with espresso ice cream to finish it off. And check out the Armenian bro in the downstairs bathroom.
- The only Meatball Shop to serve brunch, we highly recommend coming early to avoid a wait and ordering the Balls, Biscuits, & Gravy. Of course, finish your meal off with an ice cream sandwich.
- Spicy pork w spicy meat sauce over polenta. Don't even think twice. Snickerdoodle cookie w brown sugar ice cream FTW. :)
- The place is new, but they have a lot of issues with their service.
- Veal meatballs are AMAZEBALLS!!!
- When cordon bleu balls are not the special of the day, the magical combination is: beef meatballs with pesto sauce over freshly milled polenta, topped with the family jewels bien sr!
- my new neighborhood spot!! amazing
- The cookies in the ice cream sandwich are hard as rocks. The cookies should be warm to go with the great ice cream. Had to send it back.
- Spicy pork balls with spicy meat sauce is delicious!! Also the special buffalo chicken ball in blue cheese was delicious! VERY creamy mashed potatoes.
- The new Upper East Side location is the first Meatball Shop to offer brunch. The options include balls Benedict, "smash bun" French toast, and a version of biscuits and gravy made with meatballs.
- Service at the bar was fantastic, though the table service left a lot to be desired. They crammed in the three of us in the middle of an already crowded table. PS the ice cream sandwiches are bomb.
- No reservations but if a wait, stand at bar and try the Bitches Brew.
- Clever options. Good combos. Warm space in the summer!
- Over priced, loud, crowded, over rated. If this place specialized only on one item it better be amazing. Unfortunately Meatball shop in UES is not.
