  • Anyone who lives anywhere close to East 86th Street is a regular hereand no one minds the high kitsch factor. Fajita plates and margaritas are massive and immensely satisfying. [Eater 38 Member]
  • My favorite restaurant on the UES. Tacos de camarones - ay Dios. Everything is delicious. Service at the bar will seem efficient and impersonal at first, but make friends - they are great bartenders.
  • Definitely best Mexican on Upper East Side .... I've tried quite a few and we always end up back at Maz Mezcal!
  • Best Frozen Margaritas the Manhattan side of the Rio Grande! Also try fajittas and fish tacos!
  • The paella for one is more than enough for two and well worth it. Upgrade on the margaritas for a better drink.
  • took about 30-40 min to wait for our food(2 ppl) on a Friday night :(
  • Best Mexican on upper east side
  • Fajita plates and margaritas as massive and immensely satisfying.
  • have white sangria :)
  • Food was really good but way over priced. Save your money and find a better atmosphere at Cascabal or Calexico
  • Get the house margs! No need to add anything to them
  • excellent margaritas, good guac, and they have tamales!
  • The guacamole was good and the place is really cute
  • Moderately priced & delicious, especially enchiladas, rice & beans, margaritas. DON'T order nachos as it sounds bigger than you actually get
  • Good Mexican on the UES. Real good salsa verde.
  • Good food but a little pricey
  • Everything on the Irene is scrumptious
  • The best chorizo I ever had!
  • Straight up Mexican place. You won't dislike the food but it's not like a standout or anything
  • Love love love this place. Great drinks, great food. More upscale Mexican (this isn't Blockhead's) but a must try on the UES. I usually get the fajitas but you can't go wrong.
