Foursquare Tips

  • This place used to be Instant Karma. The best bar in Houston. R.I.P.
  • Truly Mexican, at least one of the very few options in the loop. Not oversized portions. Mole is the closest flavour to southeast Mexico (Veracruz)
  • Best Authentic Mexican Food in town!
  • Try the cream of poblano soup!
  • Love the Ceviche!
  • Get a table outside and order a margarita alongside the avocado enchiladas!
  • This place is closing as of July 2nd 2016. Will reopen as a seafood bar.
  • Skip rhe quesadillas. Small and tasteless. But tacos al pastor are legit! Nice decor and pricy.
  • Nice outdoor area. Most things are good but don't keep me coming back often. Good margaritas.
  • The culinary philosophy can best be summed up with: "just like in Mexico City." Luckily, Rene Hidalgo was smart enough to offer Mexico City dishes without asking us to sacrifice Tex-Mex conventions.
  • Best fish tacos ever!
  • Try the fish tacos! Service is always good :)
  • Worst service experience I've had in a very long time. Willing to accept that it was a function of my particular server as bartender actively encouraged that feedback be left. Food mediocre as well.
  • The staff here is really nice. Best selection of tequila I've seen in a long time.
  • Was good and staff very sweet
  • There are lots of great traditional dishes, it's hard to go wrong. The Enchiladas Poblanas are my personal fave. The handmade flour tortillas will take you to a happy place.
  • Mango margaritas with extra chamoy is a must here!
  • Try the tamarindo margarita.
  • The Chicken Mole is stellar!
  • My food was supposed to have rice and beans... Just had some too hot green sauce. Not worth the money. Won't be back. Left hungry.
