Foursquare Tips

  • The Brooklyn chowder is something of a cross between the creamy New England favorite and Manhattan's tomato-based counterpart and is served with corn nuts and homemade goldfish and oyster crackers.
  • New York's best Motley Crue-themed oyster bar. Get the Nikki Sixx - half dozen oysters and a shot of Jager!
  • Solid food here all around. My favorites were the Brooklyn Clam Chowder, Frisee Salad w/ Fried Oysters, and (of course) OYSTERS! xx InAHalfShell.com
  • Belon oysters. Get 'em!!
  • Get the heirloom tomato salad and the grilled oysters. Two of the best decisions of my life.
  • Chicken liver pt is a must. Black bass & risotto is great. Short rib is tasty. Mussels are great to share. Foursquare special is ONLY honored at the bar. Smh. They could be a little flexible...
  • Happy hour 4-7 for $2 east coast oysters. Skip salmon tartare & crab cake but order the Clam boil in broth with Old Bay, potatoes and corn $15. Unique booth interior & decor. Recommended.
  • Should have bought the hostess April a drink to kill that bug up her ass!
  • Paella is delicious and enough for two
  • Lobster BLT by far is the best with the buttery bread. The juice just flow down your hands once you take a first bite.
  • Great atmosphere, better drinks and even better seafood. Definitely get some OYSTERS!!
  • Was just ok. Wasn't all that impressed with menu- lots of heavy/fried/savory things- lots of butter and no greens/salads. Stick with oysters & wine.
  • nice food presentation. the cola is of the pepsi variety :/
  • Cool spot, good grub but app portions are brutally small for the price. Don't plan on sharing. Just sayin'
  • Features an array of the finest east and west coast oysters, as well as classic seafood-shack fare like Lobster BLTs, Oyster Po' Boys fish entrees that showcase sustainable seafood and local produce.
  • That lobster blt is damn good.
  • Stopped in for the lunch special and ordered from the regular menu instead, but the lobster roll wasn't great, the fries were overcooked, and the slaw was bland. Dessert wasn't much better.
  • Different oysters. Cool. Good food!
  • $1 oysters between 5-7? Count me in. Tasty lobster BLT? Even better.
  • $16 Prix fixe lunch is great deal. 3 choices of appetizer & entrees. I had Monkfish 'foie gras' and seafood risotto. All tasty and good sized portions.
