The Little Shamrock looks like a typical Irish pub from the outside, but on the inside, you'll realize that this is one of the city's best dives. They have a good selection of beer on tap at a great price. There are couches and other types of seating for big groups, and the friendly bartenders always have good conversation. This dive is definitely one to check out!

Tips

  • The Little Shamrock still has a clock that was hanging during the 1906 earthquake -- the clock's hands still read 5:12, the time when the big one hit.
  • Comfort zone in the back
  • Lots of board games, and bring your own food! Lots of local flavor.
  • I LOVE this place.
  • 2nd oldest bar in SF. The clock on the wall is has been stopped at 5:12 since 1906 earthquake. Old working class Irish bar. Play darts in the back, play games, eat free pop corn. Love old SF. :)
  • Play some board games, darts, or just sit around and meet some people. Sometimes you just need to hang there to let loose.
  • Strong pours, good prices, backgammon tables, lots of seating, and a ragtag-but-friendly group of regulars.
  • Star wars trivial pursuit cards are hiding in the regular trivial pursuit box, bundled together in the back near the couches.
  • Great darts in back room
  • Nice irish bar. Cash only though. There's a dart board at the back which is cool to hang out with friends
  • The bar really does feel 100+yrs old. But not in a nostalgic kind of way but stale.
  • A+ bar. Yep.
  • So cozy, great music, great staff. A destination bar.
  • Well drinks, couches and Scrabble in the oldest best place in the neighborhood
  • The Little Shamrock's fireplace is lit any time there's inclement weather, which is most days in the Inner Sunset. Cozy up with an Irish coffee and a board game for the perfect afternoon.
  • Bar backgammon, cheap pints, cozy couches
  • Terrific place, great vibe and nice beers. People here are awesome!
  • Play darts, drink beer, good pub atmosphere
  • Chill place to hang out
  • Awesome Irish pub! Great decor on the inside. No frills, good neighborhood spot
