Foursquare Tips

  • The menu changes almost weekly, but standouts have included pork rinds served with duck-liver dip and sausage flavored with lemongrass and kaffir-lime leaves.
  • Trust your very knowledgeable server with drink choices based on the menu of the week, definitely enhances the experience.
  • One of the most incredible dining experiences I have had in DC. The food and service (especially sarah) are amazing!
  • This underground, 28-seat restaurant specializes in the hot, sour and herby notes of northeastern Thailand, doesn't take reservations and offers only a seven-course, family-style menu.
  • You will not be disappointed. Get in to this place if you can.
  • Open Tuesday-Saturday: 5:30 PM
  • Be ready to eat a lot of food. Family style shared plates. Menu changes every week and there are no substitutions, but it's so worth it. Try their ice cardamom coffee after your meal - delish!
  • Order milk. Best dinner ever.
  • Bring someone to wait with you in line (preferably someone who loves spicy) and you're sure to have a great dining experience. The servers are super helpful and friendly, too.
  • Could be the best ribs I've ever had.
  • Incredible. Perfect right now
  • Skip the alcohol and get the rice milk. Perfect balance to the spicy dishes. Skip altogether if you are picky or have food allergies. Amazing experience for the adventurous.
  • This place is amazing mike the chef was tremendous. The food was spicy at times but so good. Come hungry.
  • Order the Cocchi Americano on rocks. It's your best, most delicious weapon against the heat.
  • Savor the smart techniques and the superb food of the seven-course prix fixe menu of Issan food:
  • Have the amazing $45 prix fix, and be the first to conquer the vibrant, searing Isaan cuisine of Northern Thailand. For more local tips, follow us on 4sq or check out www.renhotels.com.
  • Fantastic service! This is also a steal for the quality and amount of food.
  • The spicy and sour food from the northeastern Issan region can include sausage with kaffir and basil, as well as pork rib with whiskey and garlic. Don't be afraid to get a little messy.
  • Try one of the wines on ice for something new if you end up having to wait (they don't take reservations) at this intimate but amazing new thai restaurant!
  • Wow. On my prix fixe menu, everything was amazing. Tom kha, glass noodles, pork ribs. Get a glass of bubbly or ros to cut the spicy oils.
