‘Light and Lovely’ Red Sangria


Red Sangria

Want your sangria to be a rich red but a light sip? Using ingredients like orange juice and agave nectar will lighten the caloric load.


  • One bottle of light red wine, such as the Mount Beautiful Pinot Noir
  • 3 Cups of light orange juice, such as Tropicana 50/50
  • 2 Ounces unflavored vodka 1 ounce of agave nectar sprig of mint (optional)
  • ½ Cup of fresh fruit such as apples, oranges, strawberries and blackberries


Pour vodka and sweetener into a pitcher and stir. Add fruit and let it sit for a few minutes while you measure out the juice. Add juice and bottle of low alcohol red wine. Stir. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour. Serve over ice. Be sure to get some fruit in the glass! Garnish with a slice of fruit and/or a sprig of mint.
