  • Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Gloomy. Dark. Perfect. It's like stepping back in time when the Nachez Trace ended here and rafts filled the streets.
  • The oldest continually occupied bar in the U.S., this place was once, according to legend, owned by the pirate Jean Lafitte. The tiny open air bar on Bourbon Street pours them cheap and fast.
  • Worth checking out if yer on Bourbon St. They say it's oldest bar in the US (1772, pre-independence!) tho I think there's 3-4 other bars claiming the same. Would be classier w/out the ATM & jukebox.
  • Best Hurricanes in new Orleans
  • Order the Purple Slushy Thingy.
  • Nola's best bar check out the celeb wall ....
  • Awesome hurricanes in a historic building.
  • Possibly the coolest bar on Earth.
  • Oldest bar in America! 1772!
  • Get a hurricane. Arguably better than Pat O's.
  • It's the darkest bar you'll ever be in! Candle lit!
  • Purple drank.
  • Good bloody marys.
  • Definitely stop by for a drink before or after your night on Bourbon. Very chill, laid back spot. Fireplace in the middle of the building, multiple open doors on the side, courtyard..worth a stop!!
  • When on Bourbon, you MUST visit this place! Coolest. Bar. Ever. Grab a stool around the piano!
  • built around 1772 considered "oldest continually occupied bar in the United States" Now ain't that something.
  • Hurricanes are LOADED...and they put the ones at Pat O's to shame!
  • Get a black voodoo... Strong alcohol in a grape slush.
  • Get a purple drink!
  • This place is haunted!! We were in the back patio area after dark and the door near the bar started swinging open on its own! Or maybe that was the voodoo daiquiris talking..
