  • Be inspired!
  • No matter your political affiliation, go check out some history.
  • If in the summer, bring a picnic - there are tables in the shade by the water. The best parts are FREE - the picnic area, the view through the glass in the entrance hall, and the parking!
  • All materials held by the Kennedy Library are governed by a formal legal instrument typically, a Deed of Gift - that formally donates materials to our care to be shared with generations to come.
  • Make sure to watch all of the films throughout!
  • Find the coconut Kennedy carved to send a help message after the sinking of the PT 109.
  • Order something from the web store just to marvel at its expert packaging.
  • The museum is smaller than it looks, so take your time instead of walking through the exhibits in 15 minutes.
  • Take the Shuttle Bus over from the UMASS station. It's a short ride and gives you plenty of time to enjoy the view.
  • Great for exhibits or lounging around the water on a nice day.
  • What a wonderful presidential library. I love it a "bucket list" visit
  • Free tours with admission offered a couple times a day. Great information and good overview of the history of that time period in the early 60's. Lots of good JFK quotes throughout the building.
  • Save $2 ($10 instead of $12) when you present your Terrier Card.
  • Visit your local Boston library and use the museum pass program and pick up a discount pass and only pay $3 to get in. Brilliant! Easy to get there via the redline and a free shuttle to the library.
  • Intro movies start daily at 9:20am, the last one begins 3:55. Budget about 2 hours to see everything.
  • Totally worth it! Cool building and well-done videos.
  • Free wifi in the cafe
  • A clean, geometric building by IM Pei.
  • When in need of quick taste of home, this is the recipe JFK would turn to for a tasty New England chowder. (Click on the More Info link!)
  • Shuttle bus service starts at 8am (not 6:40am as the shuttle stop's sign states) and runs every 20 minutes. You can take the UMass Boston shuttle (#1) & walk a couple hundred yards as an alternative.
